ISLAMABAD, Jul 18 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday ordered the government to form a commission to investigate blasphemy cases.
In a 12-page written decision issued by the court of Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan, the court ordered the federal government to form a commission within 30 days and said that the commission formed by the federal government should complete its proceedings within 4 months.
If the commission needs more time, it can approach the court. According to the order of January 31, the commission should determine the members and TORs.
The court approved the request for a direction to form a commission and said that the notification of the formation of the commission should be submitted on the record of the High Court within 30 days.
