IHC grants Barrister Gohar more time to submit reply in case seeking closure of Imran Khan’s X account

ISLAMABAD, Oct 15 (APP): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan more time to submit a written reply in a petition seeking the closure of the X account attributed to the party’s founder, Imran Khan.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard the petition filed by Ghulam Murtaza and adjourned further proceedings until November 23.
Barrister Gohar appeared before the court in person, along with Imran Khan’s lawyers Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry and Shamsa Kiyani, officials of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) and other parties.
During the hearing, the court observed that Barrister Gohar had not been summoned to appear in person and could have simply submitted his written response.
In response, Barrister Gohar maintained that the PTI did not claim ownership of the X account in question.
He requested additional time to submit a reply, arguing that circumstances had changed. The court allowed the request and directed him to submit the party’s position in writing.
After Barrister Gohar sought further time to file a detailed response, the court adjourned the hearing until November 23.
