IHC directs police to recover missing citizen by Friday

ISLAMABAD, Oct 05 (APP): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday directed police to recover missing Christian citizen Afzal Masih by Friday, as the abductee could not be recovered despite a court order.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir issued the direction during the hearing of a petition filed by Afzal Masih’s wife.
During the hearing, DSP Legal requested two more days’ time, which was accepted.
“You should have the abductee recovered by Friday,” Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir directed police.
Raja Yasar and Faisal, named in the petition, appeared before the court.
DSP Legal told the court that the abductee had a financial transaction with them and requested some time from the court.
Petitioner’s counsel Zulfiqar Bhatti said they should be given time until October 7.
The court directed police to recover the abductee by Friday and adjourned the hearing.
