ISLAMABAD, Feb 26 (APP): A three-member larger bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday approved a miscellaneous application for early hearing of a case related to recruitment in the federal police and directed the Registrar’s Office to give a new date.
The larger bench comprising Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar, Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro and Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas heard the case. Advocate General Islamabad Ayaz Shaukat, Federal Police Director Law Tahir Kazim, DSP Legal Sajid Cheema and others appeared in the court.
At the outset of hearing, the Advocate General said that a miscellaneous application has been filed for early hearing. The court approved the miscellaneous application and directed the Registrar’s Office to schedule the case for hearing.
It may be mentioned here that the Islamabad High Court has issued a stay order on recruitments. A petition was filed against the quota system in Islamabad Police up to BPS 15, and it was taken as a stand that all seats should be given to Islamabad domicile holders.
