ISLAMABAD, Jul 25 (APP):Ministry of National Food Security on Friday approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to become a respondent in a bail petition of Pakistan Agriculture and Research Council (PARC)’s Chairman Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Ali in illegal recruitment matter.
Justice Muhammad Asif heard the case. During the hearing on the post-arrest bail application of Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Ali, Noman Paracha appeared on behalf of the petitioner, Assistant Attorney General Shaista Tabassum on behalf of the federation, and Legal Advisor Imran Haider Sial from the Federal Ministry of National Food Security.
The federation requested to adjourn the hearing until next week, to which the petitioner’s lawyer said that there are appointments for 2022, he did not remember anything for three years, there is a lot of record in this case, I need time to prepare it. The petitioner was awarded the star of distinction by the President of Pakistan on March 23, 2025.
The Legal Advisor of Ministry of National Food Security said that we are the complainants but we have not received any notice, we should be made a party. The court, while accepting the federal government’s request for a respite, adjourned the hearing on the bail application until July 29.
