IGP Sohail waives previous censure penalties for police personnel

ISLAMABAD, Oct 04 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry has ordered the waiver of all previous censure penalties awarded to Islamabad Police personnel, removing a hurdle in the promotion of employees whose cases were pending due to such penalties.
An official told on Sunday that the decision was taken as part of the IGP’s measures for the welfare, encouragement and career progression of police personnel.
The official said censure penalties previously awarded to police employees would be waived under the decision, helping clear the way for pending promotion cases affected by these penalties.
The step is expected to benefit police personnel who were facing delays in their career progression due to previous censure punishments.
IGP Sohail has directed that the welfare of police officers and personnel should remain a priority so they can perform their duties with greater commitment and provide better services to citizens.
