IGP Rizvi takes to Islamabad roads amid heavy rain, orders quick response to emergencies
ISLAMABAD, Sep 01 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Tuesday visited different parts of the federal capital along with police teams amid heavy rain, reviewing traffic conditions and directing officers to remain in the field to assist citizens and ensure an immediate response to any emergency.
An official told APP that during the visit, the IGP inspected traffic conditions on different roads and reviewed measures being taken to facilitate citizens during the continuing rainfall, said a press release here.
Islamabad Police said traffic was moving normally on all major roads of the federal capital, while teams were working to drain rainwater from areas where water had accumulated.
Rizvi directed officers and personnel to remain present in their respective areas and extend all possible assistance to citizens facing difficulties due to the rain.
He ordered police teams to ensure an immediate response to emergency calls and remain fully prepared to deal with any situation arising from the heavy rainfall.
The IGP Rizvi also reviewed field deployment and directed officers to coordinate their efforts to protect citizens and maintain smooth traffic flow.
Islamabad Police said its personnel remained active in the field to protect the lives and property of citizens, facilitate road users and respond to rain-related emergencies.
Citizens facing any difficulty or emergency during the rainfall were advised to immediately contact Islamabad Police for assistance.
