IGP Rizvi shares Iftar with officers, reviews security & Safe City systems

ISLAMABAD, Mar 03 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi joined police officers and officials for Iftar at the Seventh Avenue check post on Tuesday and reviewed security arrangements in view of the prevailing situation during the holy month of Ramazan.
An official told APP that the IGP Rizvi broke his fast with the deployed personnel and appreciated their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to duty.
IGP Rizvi encouraged officers and officials, stating that every member of Islamabad Police remains committed to fulfilling their responsibilities and safeguarding the federal capital.
IGP Rizvi expressed pride in the professional competence, bravery, and integrity of the force and directed officers to continue performing their duties with vigilance, zeal, and discipline during Ramazan.
Later, IGP Rizvi chaired a meeting with DG Safe City/DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joya and the IT team to review the city’s security and traffic management systems.
During the meeting, he directed officers to align security and traffic mechanisms with modern requirements, ensure effective monitoring of Safe City cameras, enhance the use of technology, and adopt a coordinated strategy to provide citizens with a safe and secure environment.
IGP Rizvi reiterated that Islamabad Police would continue to utilize all available resources to maintain law and order and facilitate the public across the capital.
