ISLAMABAD, Mar 02 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police continued round-the-clock efforts to ensure public safety as Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi personally visited the Red Zone to review security arrangements and encourage officers deployed on duty.
An official told APP on Monday that IGP Rizvi inspected various sensitive points in the Red Zone in view of the prevailing security situation and assessed the overall preparedness of the force.
He said the IGP met officers and personnel deployed at different checkpoints and security posts, reviewed checking procedures, and directed them to ensure comprehensive implementation of security measures.
During his interaction with the deployed strength, IGP Rizvi appreciated their professionalism and dedication, expressing confidence in their ability to safeguard the federal capital. He emphasized that maintaining peace and protecting Islamabad is the foremost responsibility of the force.
IGP also instructed officers to remain vigilant, maintain high alert, and respond effectively to any untoward situation.
IGP Rizvi reiterated that Islamabad Police remain fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and ensuring a secure environment across the capital.
