IGP Rizvi inspects rooftop, route security for central 9th Muharram procession
ISLAMABAD, Jun 25 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Thursday visited Imambargah Asna Ashri in Sector G-6 and reviewed security arrangements for the central 9th Muharram procession.
An official told APP, the IGP Rizvi inspected route security, point deployment and rooftop duties to assess the implementation of the comprehensive security plan for the procession.
Rizvi reviewed the operational preparedness of police personnel deployed at key locations and ensured that all security measures were being implemented effectively.
IGP Rizvi also met DIGs and other senior police officers and issued necessary directions to further strengthen security arrangements and maintain close coordination throughout the procession.
He directed officers to remain vigilant, strictly enforce the security plan and ensure a peaceful environment for mourners.
The official said Islamabad Police was utilizing all available resources, including modern surveillance and coordinated field deployment, to ensure foolproof security during the central 9th Muharram procession.
