ISLAMABAD, Feb 01 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired an important Zoom meeting to review the overall law and order situation and security measures in the federal capital.
A police spokesperson told APP on Sunday that the meeting was attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DIG Security Muhammad Atiq Tahir, AIG Operations Shoaib Masood, SSP Operations, SSP CTD, and all zonal SPs.

During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on the prevailing law and order situation, counter-terrorism measures, security of important government and sensitive installations, and ongoing search and combing operations across the city.
The spokesperson said that emphasis was placed on further strengthening police patrolling to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property. It was also decided to take strict legal action against those involved in kite flying and the manufacturing and sale of chemical string.
On the occasion, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi directed all officers to further intensify action against criminal elements under a zero-tolerance policy. He stressed adopting effective strategies, ensuring prompt response, and promoting people-friendly policing to maintain peace and order in the federal capital at all costs.
The IGP reiterated that Islamabad Police would continue to utilize all available resources to ensure public safety and a secure environment for citizens.
