IGP holds Orderly Room, allows promotion cases of 46 SIs

LAHORE, Jan 27 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar on Tuesday chaired a video link Orderly Room at the Central Police Office, where appeals of sub-inspectors (SIs) who had been denied promotions in previous promotion boards were reviewed.
DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana and AD Establishment Abida Mazhar were also present.
According to spokesperson, a total of 105 SIs serving in various districts, units and wings across Punjab participated in the Orderly Room through video link.
During the session, the sub-inspectors presented their appeals and requests regarding denial of promotions in earlier boards. After a detailed scrutiny, the appeals of 46 sub-inspectors were approved, and their cases will be placed before the upcoming promotion board, added spokesperson.
IGP Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the promotion process in Punjab Police is being carried out on the basis of merit, seniority and transparency. He stressed that a clear career profile, complete service record, field experience and intelligence reports are essential components in the promotion process. He directed officers eligible for promotion to ensure completion of their annual confidential reports (ACRs) and other service records, and to continue serving the country with honesty, dedication and professionalism.
