IG Rizvi assigns key tasks as Islamabad Police finalizes Muharram security plan

ISLAMABAD, Jun 05 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired a high-level meeting attended by all senior officers of the district and directed them to finalize comprehensive security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram across the federal capital.

An official told APP on Friday that the IGP directed officers to personally monitor security arrangements at Imambargahs in their respective areas and maintain close coordination with organizers to ensure foolproof security during Muharram.
Rizvi instructed officers to keep timely public service delivery and prompt redressal of complaints as a top priority at all police stations and offices across the district.
The IGP Rizvi also directed officers to further organize and accelerate operations against narcotics and illegal weapons to strengthen law and order in the capital.
According to the official, officers were assigned specific tasks regarding Safe City expansion projects, police welfare initiatives and timely completion of work being carried out under the SIPS protocol at police stations.
Rizvi emphasized that Islamabad Police remained committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and ensuring delivery of the best possible services to the public.
He directed all officers to maintain close supervision of their assigned responsibilities and ensure effective implementation of all operational and security plans.
