IG Islamabad reviews police training, orders stronger security at Capital Police College
ISLAMABAD, Jul 22 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired a meeting with senior police officers at the Capital Police College to review ongoing training programmes, professional capacity building and security arrangements.
An official told APP on Wednesday that Deputy Inspector General (IGP) Law and Order Muhammad Ateeq Tahir, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Law and Order Capt. (R) Hamzah Humayun, SSP Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Saud Khan and Director Training CTD Major Ijaz attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the IGP Rizvi reviewed the progress of ongoing training courses, the professional development of police officers and the overall security arrangements at the Capital Police College.
Rizvi stressed the need to further enhance the quality of police training in line with modern policing requirements and directed the officers concerned to ensure that all training courses to completed according to the prescribed standards.
He also issued instructions to strengthen security measures at the college and maintain a secure environment conducive to effective learning and professional development.
The IGP Rizvi emphasized that well-trained and professionally equipped officers were essential for delivering effective policing, combating emerging security challenges and providing better public service.
He directed the officers to ensure strict monitoring of training standards and continue efforts to build a highly skilled, disciplined and professionally competent police force capable of meeting the evolving law enforcement needs of the federal capital.
