ISLAMABAD, Oct 16 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, chaired an operational commanders conference to review policing performance, security measures and progress on Special Initiatives and Public Services (SIPS) projects.
An official told APP on Thursday that DIGs, SSPs, and Zonal SPs attended the meeting and presented performance reports of their divisions. The IGP directed that service to citizens and strict enforcement of law must remain top priorities, while maximum online facilities should be provided to ease public life.

He stressed the need for effective teamwork, enhanced training programs and better coordination between senior officers and their subordinates. “Public trust, crime prevention and improved law and order are central to our mission,” Rizvi said.

Officials added that particular focus was given to SIPS projects, including expansion of Safe City technology, digitalization of public services, traffic management improvements, and faster complaint redressal. The IGP instructed that these initiatives be accelerated and monitored for timely completion.
IGP Rizvi concluded that transparency, accountability, and modern technology are the backbone of effective policing, and reaffirmed ICT Police’s commitment to protect lives, property, and uphold the rule of law
