ISLAMABAD, Jul 20 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi  chaired a high-level meeting to review the overall law and order situation, policing strategy and security arrangements in the federal capital.
An official told APP on Monday that DIG Headquarters Muhammad Ateeq Tahir, DG Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joiya, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq, along with other senior police officers, attended the meeting.
The participants reviewed the overall security environment, operational preparedness and ongoing policing measures aimed at maintaining peace and ensuring public safety across Islamabad.
The meeting also discussed strategies to strengthen crime prevention, enhance inter-wing coordination, improve emergency response and make greater use of modern technology for effective policing.
IGP Rizvi directed all senior officers to maintain close supervision of field formations, ensure effective coordination among operational units and further enhance security arrangements at all important installations and public places.
He emphasized that prompt public service, professional policing, effective law enforcement and the protection of citizens’ lives and property must remain the top priorities of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police.
The IGP Rizvi also instructed officers to remain vigilant, closely monitor the security situation and ensure a proactive policing approach to maintain a peaceful and secure environment in the federal capital.
