ISLAMABAD, Nov 09 (APP): All restaurants and food outlets in Islamabad must complete registration with the Islamabad Food Authority (IFA) by November 30, as the authority has announced a citywide crackdown from December 1 against unregistered establishments.
Talking to APP on Sunday, Deputy Director Operations of the Islamabad Food Authority (IFA), Dr Tahira Siddique said that the Authority has decided to launch a strict operation from December 1 targeting unregistered restaurants and food points across the federal capital.
She said any food outlet or restaurant operating without registration after the deadline will not be allowed to continue business.
Dr Tahira stated that daily inspections would begin from December 1 to check registration status and ensure compliance with food safety standards. Teams have been directed to seal unregistered restaurants and impose heavy fines on those violating the rules, she said.
The deputy director urged all restaurant and food point owners in Islamabad to complete their registration process by November 30 to avoid penalties and closure of business operations.
The registration drive aims to ensure that all food outlets meet the required hygiene and safety regulations under the Islamabad Food Authority’s framework. The Authority will continue inspections and enforcement activities on a regular basis to maintain compliance across the hospitality sector.
