The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) on Thursday issued a power suspension programme for Friday and Saturday, in various areas of its region due to necessary maintenance and routine development work.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 16 (APP): The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) on Thursday issued a power suspension programme for Friday and Saturday, in various areas of its region due to necessary maintenance and routine development work.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, on April 17 (Friday) electricity supply will remain suspended in Rawalpindi Cantt Circle from 07:00 am to 12:00 pm in Ghumti feeder and surrounding areas.
On April 18, in Islamabad Circle, power supply will remain suspended from 08:00 am to 01:00 pm in F-8/1, F-8 Markaz,
Meezan Bank, HC3 PIMS and associated feeders.
In Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, power suspension will be observed from 07:00 am to 12:00 pm in Gulshan-e-Saeed, Old Rawat, New Rawat, AOWHS, Suparco, NPF-I, NPF-II, Doctor Town, Bank Road-I, City Center, Pakistan Railways, Tipu Road, Dk. Farman Ali and CMH Flats areas.
Similarly, in Rawalpindi City Circle, shutdown will be carried out from 07:00 am to 12:00 pm in Askari-XI, Cheering Cross, Fawara Chowk, Golra, Azharabad, New Azharabad, Zarkoon Heights, Shamas Colony and Quaid-e-Azam Hospital feeders. In some areas, including Askari-XI and Cheering Cross, outages will continue till 02:00 pm.
In Jhelum Circle, power supply will remain suspended from 07:00 am to 12:00 pm in Akram Shaheed, Zubair Shaheed, Jakkar and F-9 (Chak Daulat) feeders.
Under GSO Circle, shutdown will be observed from 07:00 am to 05:00 pm in Azad Pattan area, while maintenance work at Power Transformer T-1 at 132KV Grid Station Zero Point will continue from 09:00 am to 04:00 pm.
Additionally, shutdowns will be carried out at 132KV New Wah (WAH-05) to POF South from 08:00 am to 04:00 pm, 132KV Chakwal–Bhagwal–Talagang from 08:00 am to 06:00 pm, and 132KV Kahuta City–Palandri and surrounding areas.
The IESCO management apologized to consumers for the inconvenience and said that power supply may be restored earlier than scheduled if the maintenance work is completed ahead of time.
