ISLAMABAD, Jun 10 (APP):The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) on Wednesday issued a power suspension programme for Thursday in various areas of its region due to necessary maintenance and routine development work.
According to an IESCO spokesman, in the Islamabad Circle, electricity supply will remain suspended from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in areas fed by Khana Dak, Khana East, Khana-II/Qadeer Road, Al Noor Colony, Shareefabad and Ghouri Garden feeders.
In the Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, consumers connected to Rehmatabad-1, Takbeer-I, Chaklala and Kot Jabbi feeders will face power outages from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Similarly, in the Rawalpindi City Circle, electricity supply will remain suspended from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in areas served by Sector-IV, APHS, PAF, Range Road, Seham, Chakra, I-14/3, Golra, Azharabad, Zarkoon Heights, New Azharabad, Jhangi, Quaid-e-Azam Hospital, CWO and Shamas Colony feeders.
In Attock Circle, power supply will remain suspended from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in Katchery, Dar-ul-Islam Colony and Attock Cantt areas, while consumers connected to Dirik feeder will experience outages from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
In Chakwal Circle, electricity supply to areas fed by Jamalwal and Mengan feeders will remain suspended from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
In the GSO Circle, maintenance work on transmission lines and related equipment will also affect power supply in surrounding areas. Electricity interruptions are expected from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the 132kV New Wah–POF line and associated earth switch, while outages from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. will occur on the 132kV Chakwal–Bhagwal–Talagang, 132kV Kahuta City–Palandri and 132kV New Wah–Bahtermore transmission lines along with related earth switches.
IESCO management apologizes to its esteemed customers for the power outage. If the work is completed ahead of time, the power supply can be restored even before the scheduled time.
