IESCO chief visits Regional Training Centre, reviews refresher courses for junior engineers

ISLAMABAD, Dec 21 (APP): Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), Engineer Chaudhry Khalid Mahmood, on Sunday paid a visit to the Regional Training Centre (RTC) Islamabad.
During the visit, he met with officers attending refresher training courses and reviewed the ongoing courses as well as the overall standard of training being provided, said a press release.
During the visit, Principal RTC Muhammad Zahid briefed the IESCO chief on the contents, objectives and progress of the refresher training programmes being conducted for the officers.
Addressing the participants, chief Executive IESCO emphasized the importance of training and refresher courses in view of rapid technical advancements and evolving customer care policies in the power sector.
He stated that IESCO has undoubtedly earned a unique identity in Pakistan’s power sector due to its well-trained officers and staff by use of modern technology and improved customer care services. To maintain this position, continuous grooming of officers and staff through up-to-date and high-quality training programs is mandatory.
He further said that the primary objective of these refresher courses is to further enhance the technical and professional capabilities of the IESCO team, which will ultimately contribute to improved performance and a positive image of the organization.
Chaudhry Khalid Mahmood also directed Director General HR & Admin Kamran Sarwar to expand the scope of these training programmes and ensure regular training for officers and staff.
Under the programme, a total of 90 Junior Engineers/SDOs are being imparted training from December 20, 2025 to January 18, 2026 in five weekend batches at the Regional Training Centre, Islamabad.
