Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced temporary power shutdown in selected areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock and Chakwal on Saturday, October 10, to facilitate ongoing district development works, including shifting of electricity poles and installations for flyovers, underpasses, new 11kV feeders and road-widening projects.
IESCO announces power shutdown in parts of four districts

ISLAMABAD, Oct 08 (APP): Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced temporary power shutdown in selected areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock and Chakwal on Saturday, October 10, to facilitate ongoing district development works, including shifting of electricity poles and installations for flyovers, underpasses, new 11kV feeders and road-widening projects.
According to IESCO, electricity supply in parts of the Islamabad Circle will remain suspended from 7am to 2pm in Sudhran, Waris Valley, Waheed Abad, Khadrapper, Khanna Dak and Burma feeders.
In the Rawalpindi City Circle, Al Noor Colony will face a shutdown from 7am to 2pm, while Haidri Chowk, New Malpur, E/Block, Faizabad, T&T and Abdul Rehman feeders will remain without electricity from 8am to noon.
In the Attock Circle, power supply will be suspended from 7am to 2pm in POF Emergency, Munirabad, Lalazar, Hussainabad and Col Sher Khan feeders.
In the Chakwal Circle, Mureed, Al Qaim Mills, Bhoun, Karyala and KSM Unit 3 feeders will face an interruption from 7am to 2pm.
Meanwhile, in the GSO Circle, power supply to a number of feeders, including O/G Behkari, Line Park, Mangon, Millat Chowk, Keryala, Jamalwal, Alqaim Mill, Sarkal, KSM-II, Alqadier Mill, KSM-I, Bhone, PAF, KSM-3, Alrizwan Mill, Hasil, Neela, Pipli, Kot Chaudhrian, Balkasar, Kasral and Dullah, will remain suspended from 6am to 9am.
IESCO said the temporary shutdowns were necessary to facilitate the timely completion of development projects being carried out by district administrations across its service area.
The company apologised to consumers for the temporary disruption and said shutdown schedules were also available on its official website and social media platforms.
