ISLAMABAD, Nov 16 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police carried out a major search and combing operation in Tarnol as part of its continued crackdown against criminal elements and efforts to strengthen security across the federal capital.
An official told APP on Sunday that police teams checked 45 individuals, 240 houses, 28 vehicles and 62 motorcycles, while 25 suspicious persons were shifted to the police station for legal action.

He said that women police personnel also took part in the operation, ensuring thorough checking of households and maintaining the standard operational protocol.
Before the commencement of the search activity, the operation in-charge delivered a formal briefing to all deployed personnel, outlining safety measures, checking procedures, and coordination plans to ensure a disciplined and effective operation.

He added that these efforts are being carried out under the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has instructed the force to tighten the security loop and expand intelligence-based actions against criminal groups.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Qazi Ali Raza said the primary objective of these operations is to reinforce the city’s security framework and curb crimes such as theft, land grabbing, and drug trafficking.
He said Islamabad Police will continue its indiscriminate actions against all criminal networks and will maintain visible police presence across sensitive areas.
