ISLAMABAD, Sep 09 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police on Wednesday continued large-scale combing and search operations across different areas of the federal capital, checking 222 people, 136 houses, five shops and five hotels as part of security measures.
An official told APP on Wednesday that 71 motorcycles and 25 vehicles were also checked during the operations, while 21 suspicious persons and 36 motorcycles were shifted to the relevant police stations for further verification.
He said senior officers briefed the participating personnel before the operations on search procedures, security precautions and their assigned responsibilities.
Female police officers also participated in the operations to facilitate searches where required.
The official said the combing and search operations were being carried out in different areas of Islamabad to strengthen security and maintain effective vigilance.
