ISLAMABAD, Oct 19 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Sahala Police Station team arrested two drug peddlers in separate actions, recovering narcotics and liquor during targeted operations.
An official told APP on Sunday that the actions were conducted under the supervision of SP Sihala Zone and SDPO Sahala Circle, while SHO Sahala Mudassar Ahmed led the operations.
In the first case, SHO Mudassar Ahmed and SI Muhammad Raees arrested Muhammad Shafiq and recovered a heavy quantity of narcotics from his possession. A case was registered under FIR No. 272/25, section CNSA 9(2)4, and further investigation is underway.
In another action, SHO Mudassar Ahmed and SI Yasir Hassan arrested Muhammad Maskeen, from whom a large quantity of liquor was seized. A case was registered under FIR No. 271/25, section 3/4 Prohibition Ordinance, and investigators are probing any possible network between the suspects.
SHO Mudassar Ahmed said that ICT Police’s zero-tolerance policy against narcotics is being enforced strictly. “No drug dealer will be spared from the grip of law,” he added.
The police official said the anti-narcotics drive in the federal capital has been intensified.
