ISLAMABAD, Jan 11 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Phulgran Police Station team arrested three suspects and recovered a large quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition as part of the ongoing “Weapon-Free City” campaign in the federal capital.
A police spokesperson told APP on Sunday that cases have been registered against the arrested individuals, while further investigation is underway to determine the source and intended use of the recovered weapons.
SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza said the ICT Police is strictly enforcing a zero-tolerance policy against illegal arms. He urged citizens to ensure that all licensed weapons are registered with their respective police stations without delay.
He added that protecting the lives and property of citizens remains the foremost priority of the ICT Police./APP-rzr-mkz
