ISLAMABAD, Dec 07 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested 11 accused and seized narcotics and weapons during multiple operations conducted across the federal capital to curb crime and protect citizens.
An official told APP on Sunday that police teams from Women Police Station, Margalla, Khanna, Koral, Kirpa, Lohi Bher and Banigala arrested eight accused during routine operations, recovering 1,280 grams of hashish, 1,076 grams of heroin, 746 grams of ice and three pistols with ammunition from their possession.
He added that cases have been registered against all suspects, and further investigation is under way.
Meanwhile, during a special campaign to arrest proclaimed offenders and absconders, three proclaimed offenders were also taken into custody.
SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza said the Islamabad Police remain fully committed to ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and property in the federal capital.
He reiterated that no one will be allowed to disturb the peace of the city, adding that the protection of citizens is the top priority of ICT Police./
