ISLAMABAD, Jun 01 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police on Sunday organized a special ceremony in connection with Global Parents Day, which was attended by a large number of male and female officers of the force along with their parents.
An official told APP that participants paid rich tribute to the role, sacrifices, and significance of parents in the upbringing and character-building of children.
Director Special Initiatives Shamsul Haq Durrani and SP Capital Police College Najeeb Shah delivered keynote addresses at the event.

They highlighted the importance of family values, the sacrifices made by parents, and their unmatched contribution to shaping the character and future of children.
They said that June 1 is a day to acknowledge the unconditional love, care, and dedication of parents. “Parents are a child’s first school, and their prayers, attention, and training lay the foundation for a bright future.”

“On this day, we must pledge to consider our parents as key partners in every step of the educational and character-building journey of our children,” they added.

They emphasized that strong communication and trust between parents and institutions serve to strengthen the overall education system.
The officers urged the participants to respect their parents, spend quality time with them, and value their prayers as a true asset in life.
