ISLAMABAD, Dec 03 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police on Wednesday carried out a grand search and combing operation in different areas of Secretariat Police Station under the supervision of SP City Zone Sulaiman Zafar to curb crime and ensure the safety of citizens.
An official told APP that police teams, including ladies police personnel, participated in the operation. Prior to the operation, all participating units were given a detailed briefing regarding search procedures and safety protocols.
During the search and combing activity, 125 individuals, 73 houses and 15 shops were checked. Police also inspected 71 motorcycles and 19 vehicles as part of the verification process. The official added that eight suspicious persons were shifted to the police station for further investigation.
The operation aimed to discourage criminal elements and maintain peace in the area.
The ICT Police stated that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) has directed grand search operations across the district to eliminate crime and enhance security measures. Citizens have been urged to cooperate with police during checks and to promptly report any suspicious activity.
The police reiterated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains their foremost priority.
