ISLAMABAD, Mar 15 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police continued large-scale search and combing operations in various areas of the federal capital against criminal elements and illegal residents.
An official told APP on Sunday that the operations were conducted on the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi under the supervision of SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza and zonal SPs.
During the operations, police checked 483 individuals, 317 households, 36 shops, 43 hotels, 303 motorcycles and 114 vehicles.

The official said that 39 suspicious individuals and 25 motorcycles were shifted to the respective police stations for further verification, while two criminal elements were also arrested during the operations.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza said that the purpose of the search operations was to tighten the noose around criminal elements and strengthen security across the city.
He added that Islamabad Police were continuing indiscriminate action against criminal gangs, land grabbers and drug dealers to maintain law and order in the federal capital.
