ISLAMABAD, Nov 01 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police carried out a grand search and combing operation in different areas of Golra to ensure peace and maintain security in the federal capital.
An official told APP on Saturday that the operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Saddar Zone, while lady police officers also participated. Prior to the operation, the deployed teams were briefed on the plan and security measures.
During the search operation, police checked 235 individuals, 93 houses, and 20 shops. A total of 61 motorcycles and 15 vehicles were also inspected.
He said 17 suspicious persons, one vehicle, and six motorcycles were shifted to the police station for further verification.
The official added that the aim of the operation is to curb crime in the area and ensure effective action against criminal elements.
He further said that IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has directed district-wide grand search operations to eliminate crime and ensure the safety of citizens.
