ISLAMABAD, Dec 17 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police carried out a grand search and combing operation in various areas of Phulgran police station to curb crime and strengthen security in the federal capital.
An official told APP on Wednesday that the operation was conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza and the oversight of SP Rural Zone. Prior to the operation, senior officers briefed the deployed personnel regarding operational duties, security protocols and checking procedures, while women police officials also actively participated in the search process.
During the operation, police teams checked 60 individuals, 52 houses, six shops, 16 motorcycles and five vehicles, while four suspicious persons were shifted to the police station for further verification and legal proceedings.
The official said that such search and combing operations are being conducted regularly across different areas of Islamabad to tighten the security net around criminal elements and prevent unlawful activities.
SSP Qazi said that the objective of the operation was to narrow down space for criminals and enhance overall security in the city. He added that indiscriminate action would continue against criminals, land grabbers and drug traffickers.
