Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police checked 380 individuals and shifted 19 suspicious persons, including one Afghan national, to police stations for further verification during grand search and combing operations conducted in different parts of the federal capital.

ISLAMABAD, Jun 02 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police checked 380 individuals and shifted 19 suspicious persons, including one Afghan national, to police stations for further verification during grand search and combing operations conducted in different parts of the federal capital.
An official told APP on Tuesday that the large-scale operations were launched on the directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to further strengthen security and maintain law and order across the city.
The official said search operations were conducted in the areas of Sabzi Mandi, Karachi Company, Shahzad Town, Industrial Area and Sumbal police stations under the supervision of the respective zonal SPs.
Lady police officials also participated in the operations, he added.
During the search operations, police checked 380 individuals, 185 households, 22 hotels and 90 shops.
The official said 162 motorcycles and 63 vehicles were also inspected, while 19 suspicious individuals, including one Afghan national, and 27 motorcycles were shifted to the relevant police stations for further verification.
According to the official, special checking points had been established at entry and exit routes of the city to ensure effective monitoring and security screening.
He said all patrolling units and special squads remained active and continued patrolling in different areas of the capital.
