ISLAMABAD, May 28 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police paid rich tribute to Head Constable Zahid Mahmood, who passed away after a road accident, as his funeral prayers were offered with full official honors at Police Lines Headquarters.
An official told APP on Thursday that Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, senior police officers and jawans attended the funeral prayers of the deceased officer.
The official said a smartly turned-out contingent of Islamabad Police presented salute to the late Head Constable in recognition of his services and dedication towards duty.
During the occasion, IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi paid tribute to the professional services, commitment and sense of responsibility demonstrated by the deceased officer during his career.
The IGP Rizvi also expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and assured them of complete cooperation and support from Islamabad Police.
Special prayers were offered for eternal peace of the departed soul and elevation of his ranks in the hereafter, the official added.
