ISLAMABAD, Oct 15 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police enhanced their operational capacity by providing eight police stations with new patrol vehicles as part of efforts to strengthen crime prevention and ensure the safety of citizens.
An official told APP on Wednesday that Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, handed over the new vehicles during a ceremony, emphasizing that their induction will make patrolling more effective and help to curb criminal activity across the capital.
“Making the city safe is the foremost priority of Islamabad Police. Eliminating crime and protecting citizens’ lives and property is our mission, and the force remains fully active at all times to achieve this,” DIG Tariq stated.
He added that the Islamabad Police are determined to uphold the rule of law, safeguard public and private property, and take indiscriminate action against criminal elements.
During the ceremony, DIG Tariq directed officers to ensure regular patrolling and remain vigilant, stressing that effective mobility is essential for securing the capital and building public confidence.
Officials said the measure reflects the department’s commitment to upgrading resources and strengthening operational readiness.
