The district administration of Islamabad has continued its anti-encroachment campaign in different parts of the federal capital, demolishing more than 50 illegal sheds set up by car workshops in G-10 Markaz.

ISLAMABAD, May 17 (APP): The district administration of Islamabad has continued its anti-encroachment campaign in different parts of the federal capital, demolishing more than 50 illegal sheds set up by car workshops in G-10 Markaz.
Officials said the operation was carried out with the help of heavy machinery under the supervision of the Assistant Commissioner Shalimar.
According to the district administration, the action targeted structures built illegally outside car workshops in the commercial area of G-10 Markaz. Heavy machinery was used during the operation to remove the sheds and clear encroached spaces.
Officials said the campaign is part of ongoing efforts to remove illegal constructions and ensure public areas remain accessible. The administration stated that teams are conducting operations on a daily basis in different sectors of Islamabad to identify and remove encroachments.
The operation in G-10 remained underway for several hours while enforcement staff monitored the area to prevent resistance and maintain order. Authorities said shop owners and business operators have repeatedly been instructed
not to extend their businesses onto public land.
The Assistant Commissioner Shalimar supervised the activity and reviewed the implementation of the operation on site. Officials said further actions would continue in other commercial centers and markets across the city in the coming days.
The district administration also appealed to citizens and traders to cooperate with authorities during the anti-encroachment drive. It said action would continue against illegal structures and no violations of public space regulations would be allowed.
Islamabad authorities have intensified anti-encroachment measures in recent weeks as part of efforts to improve traffic flow, pedestrian access and management of commercial areas in the federal capital.
