ISLAMABAD, Dec 19 (APP):The Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) has granted a Certificate of Registration to the City & Guilds of London Institute, recognising it as a Qualification Awarding Body in Pakistan.
According to an official statement, on Friday the certificate was formally presented by IBCC Executive Director Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah to Dr Amir Saadati, Strategic Partner of City & Guilds Pakistan.
Dr Mallah confirmed that City & Guilds of London Institute has been registered for three qualifications: the International Foundation Programme, IGCSE and A-Level.
He said the registration would enable Pakistani students to access internationally benchmarked and locally validated qualifications, facilitating progression to higher education and employment opportunities both within the country and abroad.
The IBCC executive director added that a number of other international examination bodies — including the International Baccalaureate (IB), Pearson Edexcel and Learning Resource Network (LRN) — are already registered with the commission, while Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) and several others are currently undergoing the registration process.
The development is part of IBCC’s broader effort to expand access to globally recognised education pathways in Pakistan.
