ISLAMABAD, Mar 12 (APP):The Ambassador of Hungary to Pakistan Istvan Szab and Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) Dr. Fehmida Mirza Tuesday agreed to increase cooperation in sports education and training.
The ambassador called on the minister here and discussed to strengthen bilateral ties between both the countries through sports, said a press release issued here.
The minister said Pakistan attached great importance to its relations to Hungary and is keen to explore more areas of cooperation. The ambassador agreed the need to boost cooperation in all possible areas.
Both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in areas including training and exchange of coaches, establishing sports academy, facilitating export of sports goods etc.
Hungary was also providing two hundred, fully funded scholarships for Pakistani students.
In the meeting, the ambassador gave an introduction of Teqball sport and expressed desire to promote this game in Pakistan.
Teqball will soon be included in Olympic Games as well, he said and lauded the incumbent government for promoting sports in the country.
He said that the Hungarian Football Federation was using Pakistani Footballs. The ambassador extended invitation to the minister for attending an introductory event of Teqball, organized by the Hungarian embassy in collaboration with Pakistan Teqball federation.
The ambassador was accompanied by Deputy Head of the Mission, Head of Counselor and Cultural Section and Counselor.
