HRCP Highlights Iqbal’s Vision of Khudi and Freedom for Global Harmony

ISLAMABAD, Nov 08 (APP): An “Iqbal Conference” was held under the auspices of the Human Rights Council of Pakistan (HRCP) at the National Language Promotion Department here to highlight the philosophy, message, and global influence of Poet of the East, Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
Prof Fateh Muhammad Malik, addressing the participants, said that Iqbal’s message of Khudi and self-realization was not limited to any nation or region but offered guidance for all humanity. He said Iqbal’s poetry created a bridge between the East and the West and inspired mankind to rediscover the true purpose of life.

Chairman Human Rights Council of Pakistan Jamshed Hussain said Iqbal’s philosophy awakened nations with the spirit of selfhood and freedom. “His thoughts continue to guide the youth toward determination, hope, and character-building,” he said, adding that Iqbal’s message of peace, tolerance, and mutual respect remained vital in today’s world.
Other speakers shed light on the relevance of Iqbal’s teachings in the modern era, describing them as a source of moral and intellectual guidance for humanity. They said Iqbal’s philosophy promoted unity, justice, and respect for mankind across the globe.
At the end of the event, special guests were presented with souvenirs, while students presented speeches and dialogues based on Iqbal’s poetry. Renowned artist Afzal performed Iqbal’s verses on the flute, receiving great applause from the audience.
Talking to APP,  member HRCP and librarian Kashif Kamal said Iqbal’s dream was the foundation of Pakistan, adding that if today’s youth adopted his philosophy of Khudi, no obstacle could hinder the nation’s progress.
