ISLAMABAD, Oct 13 (APP): Malik Munir Iqbal Channar, Member-elect of the National Assembly from NA-168 Bahawalpur, along with his brother, Zaheer Iqbal Channar, Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly, called on the Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada at his office in Islamabad.
Both leaders expressed their profound gratitude to the Federal Minister and his family, particularly his son, for their unwavering support during the by-elections held in September 2026, in which they secured a decisive victory with a lead of nearly 40,000 votes.
The Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly thanked the Federal Minister for his wholehearted support, not only in the National Assembly but also during the electoral campaign. He expressed confidence that this electoral success would further strengthen their resolve to serve their people with renewed commitment.
Congratulating them on their success, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada termed the victory a landmark achievement for Bahawalpur, reflecting the confidence and trust of the people in their elected representatives.
He reaffirmed that public support remains their greatest strength and pledged to continue working for the welfare and interests of the people of Bahawalpur.
Federal Minister also recalled the long political struggle of the Channar family, paying tribute to their late father, a former MNA for his steadfast commitment to public service and his constituency.
