Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan calls growing cooperation new chapter, sees direct flights as key to connectivity

ISLAMABAD, Feb 23 (APP):Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Lahore Rao Khalid Mahmood on Monday lauded the deepening strategic partnership between Pakistan and Kazakhstan, termed the recent presidential visit to Pakistan a landmark development after years and voiced optimism that direct flights between the two nations will soon resume to further strengthen bilateral ties.
            Talking in an exclusive interview with PTV News, the Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Lahore said that Pakistan and Kazakhstan are entering a new chapter of growing cooperation.
            He highlighted growing opportunities across trade, investment, agriculture, the establishment of new industries, robust chamber collaborations, tourism, cultural festivals like Basant, and labor exchange between the two countries, describing these recent developments as a significant milestone in deepening bilateral ties.
          He further noted that after a decade, the brotherly relations between the two nations have been revived under the current government’s leadership.
          Expressing optimism for the near future, he hoped that direct flights between the two countries would soon resume through Pakistan International Airlines to further enhance connectivity and people-to-people exchanges.
         He also urged the Punjab government to ensure that next year’s Basant festival is celebrated on a larger scale, with diplomats and embassies invited to promote cultural exchange, foster a positive and healthy image of the country, noting that this year’s festival helped project a softer and more welcoming image internationally
