ISLAMABAD, Oct 02 (APP): Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, Secretary, Establishment Division, has said that honesty and integrity are the defining virtues of a public officer and the foundation of effective public service.
He made these remarks while addressing the passing-out ceremony of the 47th Mid-Career Management Course at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Islamabad.
The Secretary Establishment Division emphasised that public officers have a vital responsibility to uphold integrity, professionalism and commitment in the discharge of their official duties. He stressed the importance of ethical conduct and a strong sense of responsibility in strengthening public institutions and improving public service delivery.
Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, who was the Chief Guest at the ceremony, distributed certificates among 44 participating officers who successfully completed the 47th Mid-Career Management Course.
Director General NIPA Islamabad, Mr. Asim Iqbal, congratulated the officers on completing the course, noting that it equips them with the leadership and managerial skills needed for senior responsibilities, and encouraged them to put the learning into practice for better public service delivery.
Rector, National School of Public Policy (NSPP), Syed Moazzam Ali, Mr. Ejaz Bajwa, Chief Instructor and members of the faculty were also present on the occasion.
The Mid-Career Management Course is aimed at enhancing the professional capabilities, leadership skills and managerial competencies of public sector officers, enabling them to effectively contribute towards good governance, institutional strengthening and improved public service delivery.
