ISLAMABAD, Feb 17 (APP):Islamabad Capital Police have arrested a man for allegedly killing his sister in Bhara Kahu, officials confirmed on Monday.
A public relations officer told APP that the arrest was made through a joint operation by Bhara Kahu Police and the Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU).
He said the victim’s father lodged a complaint at Bhara Kahu Police Station, stating that his daughter was shot and killed by her brother, Umar Shehzad. Following the complaint, the police registered FIR No. 132/25 and launched an immediate investigation.
He said that using modern forensic and technical methods, the police traced and arrested the suspect. The accused is in custody, and further investigation is underway.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, emphasized that the police are committed to taking strict action against crime, violence, and murder cases.
DIG Tariq said, “The accused will be brought to justice with solid evidence to ensure a strict legal punishment.”
