Historical documents, photographs depiction of Pakistan’s chronology: President

ISLAMABAD, April 12 (APP):President Dr Arif Alvi Friday said historical documents and photographs were great depiction of Pakistan’s rich cultural chronology.

He said this while interacting with visitors during an exhibition of archival documents and photographs, held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, a press statement said.

The exhibition was organized by the National Archives of Pakistan (NAP).

The president said NAP had preserved the historic depositary ‘treasure’ which was of immense importance for the new generation to know its history and culture.

“I have a keen desire that public should have access to this treasure as it is an important source of information regarding national history and culture,” he added.

He further said the exhibition would benefit visitors, particularly researchers and students to get more knowledge about our rich culture.

He stressed for establishing modernized preserving system of historical records including documents and photographs.

It is pertinent to mention here that Aiwan-e-Sadr will remain open for general public during the exhibition till April 13. A number of visitors including media personnel and general public witnessed the exhibition.
