HEC invites applications from Central Asian countries for BS degree under AIOU Scholarship Program

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) invited applications for admissions to a four-year BS degree program in Pakistan with full financial support under the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Scholarship Program for students from Central Asian and friendly countries. 

ISLAMABAD, Jul 20 (APP): The Higher Education Commission (HEC) invited applications for admissions to a four-year BS degree program in Pakistan with full financial support under the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Scholarship Program for students from Central Asian and friendly countries.
According to HEC, on Monday, the scholarships are available in a wide range of disciplines in various fields including engineering and technology, computer science and information technology, allied health sciences, business and economics, agriculture, social sciences, food security, international relations, media and languages.
The Commission added that this scholarship would be provided to international students wishing to study in top universities in Pakistan.
“The scholarship includes tuition fees, accommodation, monthly stipend, one-time round-trip airfare during the degree program and special financial assistance for initial settlement,” it said.
While unveiling the eligibility criteria, it underscored, that candidates must have at least 60 percent marks (65 percent for engineering programs) in A-level or equivalent educational qualification, while selected candidates would also have to obtain an equivalency certificate from the Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) after reaching Pakistan.
The HEC said the last date for submission of applications is August 10.
