ISLAMABAD, Feb 25 (APP):The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) inaugurated a three-day art exhibition titled “Silent Expressions II”, celebrating the creative achievements of hearing-impaired students from across the country.
The exhibition was opened by Ms Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, and will remain open to the public from February 25-27 at PNCA.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Nadeem Mahbub, Federal Secretary for Federal Education and Professional Training, while the exhibition was spearheaded by Captain (R) Asif Iqbal Asif, Director General of Special Education (DGSE), underscoring the government’s commitment to inclusive education and professional empowerment.
The artworks on display drew widespread appreciation for their skill and maturity. Muhammad Ayoub Jamali, Director General PNCA, noted that the pieces reflected the standard of professional artists.
Wajiha Qamar commended the students’ depth of talent, stressing that their abilities are on par with any professional platform.
A notable announcement was made during the ceremony regarding the conversion of student internships into permanent employment opportunities. DG Asif Iqbal Asif reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind, with a focus on fostering financial independence and dignity through sustainable employment.
The exhibition is open to the public and offers a meaningful opportunity to engage with the work of some of Pakistan’s most talented young artists.
