QUETTA, Oct 13 (APP): On the special instructions of Secretary Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department Muhammad Hashim Ghilzai, Chief Engineer Abdul Muttalib Baloch arrived in Gwadar to conduct a comprehensive review of the city’s water supply system and surrounding areas.
Accompanied by Executive Engineer (XEN) Momin Baloch and Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Dad Karim Baloch, the Chief Engineer visited Gunz and Jiwani, inspecting the Gunz Water Works Pumping Station and evaluating the ongoing water distribution process.
Officials reported that Gunz is currently receiving water through a newly constructed pipeline extending from Santsar to the Pileri Pumping Station, with approximately 20,000 gallons supplied to the area so far.
The Santsar-Pileri Pipeline Project sources water from natural boring wells in Dasht and supplies it to multiple regions including Pileri, Peshkan, and Jiwani. The project has been successfully operationalized, with a daily capacity of around 280,000 gallons, significantly improving water access in underserved areas.
The success of this vital water initiative is credited to the dedicated efforts and effective supervision of PHE Department personnel, notably XEN Momin Baloch, SDO Dad Karim Baloch, and Supervisor Shakoor Baloch.
Chief Engineer Abdul Muttalib Baloch praised the team’s performance during his visit and affirmed that all available resources are being utilized to ensure the uninterrupted supply of clean water to the public.
