Govt’s measures in energy sectors draw appreciation

ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (APP): The All Pakistan CNG Association has lauded the government to have materlized its plan for meeting the country’s growing energy needs.
“The priceless efforts put by the PML(N)-led government have started yielding results and the Prime Minister and his team succeed to materialise LNG import and working out a feasible distribution plan in record time,” said Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha Chairman Supreme Council APCNGA.
He said the positive impact of LNG import would soon be felt across the country as it would help reduce energy scarcity in the country, he added.
He said the supply chain had started working properly and gas was being supplied to consumer without any interruption for the last two months.
He said a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority(OGRA) to reduce prices of RLNG would provide relief to CNG operators and tens of millions of people.
Ghiyas Paracha also praised efforts of petroleum minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, saying these enabled hundreds of CNG stations in Punjab to operate.
He was of the view such initiatives would reduce oil import bill, unemployment and pollution, adding on the top it, thousands of laid off workers have been reemployed at CNG filling stations.
These development-oriented measures sent a very positive signal, encouraging automakers to produce CNG-fitted vehicles.
