RAWALPINDI, Mar 06 (APP):Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Dr Noor ul Haq Qadri Wednesday said that the federal government would take all possible measures for protection of the country.
Talking to media persons here after attending annual prize distribution ceremony of Iqra Al-Noor Model School as chief guest, the minister said that the government was taking steps which were decided earlier under National Action Plan to regularize unregistered madaris.
He informed that all such organizations and madaris which were facing different allegations would be checked.
There were allegations that the some madaris were involved in extremism and being used against other countries, he said adding, the government wanted to change the situation and clear the allegations.
He said that ulma and custodians of madaris should not worry to this situation.
The government was formulating a comprehensive strategy in this regard which would take some time.
To a question, he said that efforts made to implement uniform timings of the prayers could not be made a success but, the incumbent government would strive to implement the system in the twin cities.
“We had taken the ulma onboard for uniform prayer timings for Rawalpindi and Islamabad and if we succeed it will be a great achievement,” he said.
To another question about Indian violations at Line of Control, the Minister said that Indian aggression might continue till the general elections in India but, sane elements in India were raising their voice for peace and telling the Indian government that border skirmishes were not in the interest of both the neighboring countries.
Noor ul Haq said the message of peace of the Prime Minister Imran Khan given to Indian leadership was appreciated worldwide. He said, Pakistan by the grace of Allah almighty would succeed on all fronts and nefarious designs of the enemies would be foiled.
