Govt to revive national & cultural festivals in the country: Fawad

ISLAMABAD, Jan 25 (APP):Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Friday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government was going to revive the cultural and traditional festivals of the country to boost the tourism industry.
The government was introducing a new visa policy to attract a large number of tourist from across the world in Pakistan and added the step would be proved to be a game changer of Pakistan Tourism, the minister said while talking to a private news channel.

The Minister said under the new visa policy, citizens from 175 countries would have e-visa facility while citizens of 50 countries would enjoy visa on arrival facility.
He said the government wants to resolve the public issues by approving laws and making legislation in the Parliament, but the Opposition was not looking serious on the matters of public importance.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government had swallowed a bad pill to appoint Shehbaz Sharif as Chairman Public Account Committee (PAC) Chairmen for the continuity of proceedings of the Parliament, he said .
Fawad Hussain said the leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) were playing gimmicks in National Assembly to avoid corruption cases. He resented the Opposition’s behaviour in the National Assembly, particularly the Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif was pointing finger towards Prime Minister Imran Khan, vitiating the political environment. “We respect the Parliament and all the elected representatives but the Prime Minister, being Leader of the House, also deserves due respect.”
About the PPP leaders, the Information Minister said political careers of some PPP leaders were at stake who had been caught red-handed in mega money laundering and corruption cases.
Replying to a question, he said the Opposition was trying to run from the on going accountability process and added the process had started against the looters of the country to bear the brunt their deeds.
