ISLAMABAD, Nov 5 (APP): Federal Minister for Water and Power,
Khawaja Muhammad Asif said Thursday that the government would
facilitate business community of the country to participate in the
upcoming International Energy Conference, scheduled in the first
week of December this year, in Washington DC.
The minister was talking to a US delegation led by Deputy
Chief of The Embassy, Jonathan Pratt that called on the minister
here.During the meeting, areas of mutual interest and cooperation
in the field of energy and defense came under discussion.
The delegation members apprised the minister about the ongoing
US projects in energy sector.
“To solve energy issue of Pakistan is one of the top
priorities of the US government,” the US delegates said.
The importance of exploiting wind energy resources was also
highlighted during the meeting as it was observed that Pakistan was
having a lot of wind energy potential at the coastal line of
Baluchistan.
